Linking up with Heather and Megan for Mommy Confessions!
My Confession
Sleep
Having just had my second baby I knew sleep would be few and far between.
What I didn't realize is that when I did sleep I would sleep like the freaking dead.
With Lucas if his breathing pattern changed I woke up to check on him. I was a crazy light sleeper.
Sam? Nope. I pass the heck out and don't remember anything. I am partially happy about this and it really freaks me out at the same time because I'm so scared something will happen while we are sleeping and I will be too asleep to hear anything.

I totally get your concerns - it freaks me out now with a 3 year old when she is awake and I havent woken up with her - but the pokes in the face are so lovely :) NOT - good luck mama :)
ReplyDeleteYou will hear him if he needs you! I slept so much better with my second too!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny because I was that way with my first! Daddy was a nervous wreck, checking on her (she was right beside our bed for the first two months) twenty five times before allowing himself to fall asleep...me? I fell asleep straight away...but I'm a super light sleeper so I was alert the moment I heard a shift in her pattern. Our baby was a rare few who needed to be woken up to eat, rather than the opposite.
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate to you girl... LW came home on an apnea for the first 2 months, and even MONTHS after he was off it and doing well, I STILL couldn't sleep sound-fully (and he was the baby who slept through the nights from 4 months on). However with NK, the minute they are both asleep, I am "gone" myself (too bad NK, isn't as good of a sleeper as her big brother was)! ;)
ReplyDeleteWow! So here's to hoping that I'll return to a normal night's sleep again sometime soon? Just kidding. I pass the f out most nights. Not as hard as Eli though...I could kick his face and he'd keep on snoring.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking!
xoxo

I was totally the same with baby #2 :).
ReplyDeleteCongrats again sweets!
Hahaha I STILL sleep light and Ben is over a year old! I'm glad to hear there's hope for when we have baby #2!
ReplyDeleteAlso? Every time I see you write, "Sam" - I get all mushy gushy. That's such an adorable name (Lucas too, of course!). Love it!
