Linking up with Heather and Megan for Mommy Confessions!
My Confession
"Just a minute..."

My Confession
"Just a minute..."
Since having Sam things have been difficult for Lucas in the sense his needs aren't first. Yea it's part of it.
Lucas will ask me for a drink or snack. "Just a minute sweetie." Thirty minutes later he's over here pretending to die because he's so thirsty. Of course I forgot. He never ever ever asks for a drink or snack when I'm you know in the kitchen it's always right when I sit down to nurse Sam. Always.
It's ridiculous how much I say, "Hold on." "Just a minute."
Short confession today. Hard to type with one hand while holding a sleeping baby. :/ If I comment on your blog and you notice typos or all lower case this is why lol I'm typing with one hand.

I'm the exact same way. She always wants to be held or for me to do something when I am in the middle of doing something with J. Then when i'm done she wouldn't care less!
ReplyDeleteI only have one, and I find myself saying that a lot because I'm only asked when I've just started doing something else or when I've just sat down. I think I need to be more conscious of when I'm saying it.....
ReplyDeleteYou get an A++ for blogging at all, with a newborn. Let alone proper capitalization points.
ReplyDeleteI tell Eli "one second" all the time, and forget. Because I have better things to do with my time than help him locate his sock. If only I WAS talking about another child, rather than my husband. :)
Thanks a ton for linking up!

Oh yes I so remember and still do the hold a minute :)
ReplyDeleteHey typos and all lower case is just fine :).
My little ones do the same thing.
ReplyDeleteI do this alllll the time. My poor kids! It's funny how dramatic they get about it though!

I'm just impressed that you have time to read and write blogs - and honored when you make time to comment over at my blog. You are rocking this 2 kid thing!
ReplyDeleteIt gets easier. You seem to be handling it like a pro.
ReplyDeletePretending to die.. It's funny having a baby I can't remember the world being so dramatic? I'm chiming in and that it will get easier and maybe even miss be asked for something with they get bigger?
ReplyDeleteYou are doing an amazing job and don't forget to reward your hardwork with a delicious coffee treat or something like that.. that's how I make it! :)
Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Addie has come to hate it when I put my finger up as in "just a sec"...and she yells...put your finger down!...I can only imagine what she would be like if it were due to another child.
ReplyDeleteGirl, you are like, the most dedicated Mommy Confessions-er ever! From the hospital, from the couch nursing. Someone get this girl an award here!
ReplyDeleteI say stuff like this (Hold on! One more minute! Just wait!) aaaallll the time. I feel crazy guilty about it, but it doesn't stop me from saying it all day long.
That is pretty funny picturing him pretending to die of thirst. Love toddler/kid dramatics ;-)
I totally hear ya! This has been by far the most difficult transition point for LW and I. When I was still nursing NK, I would try to make sure his diaper was checked and fresh and that he wasn't hungry or thirsty before sitting down to nurse his little sister. Never would it fail that the second she latched on he wanted something... or needed something, like YESTERDAY! haha. Hang in there girl, you aren't alone! Sounds like you are juggling things quite well! :)
