I ♥ Cloth Diapering

Seeing how many I can stack while stuffing diapers.
Never in a billion years would I have thought to be the type of mother to cloth diaper.

When I met Cara she introduced me to the fabulous world of cloth diapering.

I thought she was insane.

Why would I want to do this? It's so gross I just want to roll it up and throw it away.

Over the years I began to realize how crazy I was. Diapers are ridiculously expensive and if you are like us and trying to cut costs this is HUGE chunk of change you are throwing away every time you toss a diaper in the trash.

Plus yanno all the environmental stuff that goes along with it. Good for the Earth... landfills... yadda yadda

Here I am about a month into cloth diapering and I don't mind it one bit.

Laundry is my Nemesis. We don't see eye to eye at all. I really thought that because I'd be doing extra laundry I'd automatically hate it.

What has actually happened? Our laundry is caught up consistently. I have to actually do laundry instead of letting it tumble in the dryer for three days before deciding I'll hang up the remaining two clean shirts.

Washing diapers did freak me out. I knew I'd screw it up some how but I haven't.

Tom has zero problems scraping poop. I really thought it'd be something he'd protest but he hasn't. He probably does a better job of it than I do hah!

Sam enjoys them. They hold a lot more and don't let the poop escape at all which saves on having to get stains out of baby clothes.

Plus they are just plain adorable.

  3. My SIL uses cloth and loves it. We will definitely cloth when we have a baby. What type do you use and where did you purchase?

  5. I totally agree...disposable diapers are super expensive and cloth diapers are super cute...but I am not a cloth diaper lady and I doubt very much if I'll ever be. Howeverrrr our next two children will be closer together (if all goes as planned) a few years down the road, and cloth diapering may make sense budget wise. So I'll revisit the idea then! I do think they are flipping adorable!
