| You'd never know he had been sick. He just devoured a cupcake. |
A few days pass and he's got a bit of a runny nose, normal for this time of year.
Then a week ago I got something. My throat was scratchy which makes everything just feel blah. I didn't feel BAD just had symptoms.
Friday night?
I felt like death. I was exhausted, I took a nap. That's right me... I took a nap.
Saturday I felt run down but not overly bad and Tom started feeling even worse than me.
Sunday Tom started running 103 fever. He slept most of the day or was in bed most of the day. I however felt fabulous.
Today Tom still had the 103 fever and I made him go to the doctor.
He has strep.
This is wild because neither of us have had strep since we were kids. How did he get it? No one else has it and he's the last one to get sick (even Sammy has a stuffy nose).
But he has it. I'm glad I made him go to the doctor because it's not something that needs to be passed around.
I will say the one casualty here is my hands. These poor hands are so dry from all the hand washing.
I'm hoping next week will be better. I'm over this stuff. I hope I don't get strep I hate sore throats and had one last week I'm so done.
Sam is 8 weeks old today and has been doing really well. He's got a bit of congestion but it's not bad at all. We go Thursday for his 2 month well baby. Expect a post on Friday about how traumatized

I'm glad everyone is on the mend. I never got strep until last year and I've had it like ten time since. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteAwww, hope everyone feels better and stays healthy! :) Good luck with the dr. appointment!
ReplyDeleteah, it's the worst when the sickness spreads through the whole family and then you have a sick house. :( same thing happened to us this winter (not strep, but a bad cold). good luck at the two-month checkup, and feel better!
ReplyDeleteHope no one else gets it and the whole house is on the mend soon!
